AnimaeNoctis is an ambient/avant-garde duo, born in May 2019 from the minds of Silvia Marcantoni Taddei and Massimo Sannelli.
Ambient/Avant-garde is actually a non-definition for our Music, combining elements of electronic, classical, free jazz, metal and many other genres: the purpose is experimenting without limits, in constant search of Beauty through new expressive Forms.

We met in 2018 and started working on our first album in March 2019.
On the 9th December of the same year, DNA della poesia  is out (the title is taken from a verse by the Italian poet Valerio Magrelli).

After the album, we composed several single tracks. At the beginning of 2020, we started a collaboration with RAI Radio Techete' (web channel of RAI, the national Italian radio) and created many soundtracks for specials about Cristina Campo, Djuna Barnes, Edoardo Sanguineti and Anna Magnani. The job created for Sanguineti turned out to be our EP Edonismo firmato Sanguineti. Another track dedicated to Sanguineti was released for Utsanga.
During pandemic, we had the occasion to open our musical view to the World, partecipating in the GoViralToStopTheVirus project by Uttaran Chauduri.
After this work, we were contacted by the painter Geracho Arias, for composing music inspired to some of his drawings. We then created a real virtual gallery, the Exhibition in Virtuality, where you can look at the art and listen to the music.
After Ecuador, there came Israel! Our newest work, ELUL 3830, is a concept album dedicated to the fall of the second Temple of Jerusalem, in its 1950th anniversary: we know that a transnational & transhistorical community of victims is calling us. Lots of eerie imperia - the empires - act impiously on the dashboard of history.
Our music is but the memory of these events. And not only of a singular event.
After exploring the Jewish identity, there comes the nonbinary one: Born in Nay is the soundtrack of the omonymous book, a photo-musical book about being born against the rules of society. Among the leaves of Autumn 2020 there are two other singularities: the double track Black with Love , dedicated to the always living inspiration of Pier Paolo Pasolini, and Night (Revealed), for the artist and friend Ariel Soulé.
